6ix9ine is assisting prosecutors in the investigation into his federal racketeering charges.
According to TMZ, three of the rapper’s former associates—Kintea McKenzie, Anthony Ellison, and Denard Butler—have been indicted in connection with crimes related to Tekashi.
69 reportedly spoke with investigators and ratted out McKenzie (aka Kooda B), identifying him as the gunman in the attempted shooting of Chief Keef in New York City in June 2018.
McKenzie was allegedly paid $10,000 to shoot Keef, who was beefing with 6ix9ine prior to the shooting. Two men, including a known Tekashi associate, tracked down Keef outside the W Hotel in Times Square and fired shots but missed.
McKenzie has not been apprehended, but Ellison is in custody for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting Tekashi.
