Avengers Project news, releasing on next gen consoles. More developers on board and close to completion?

I would consider this an update but it’s really not. Just more rumors toppled onto other rumors that were aluded to by Square Enix. About a month ago Square’s president Yosuke Matsuda told investors to look forward to this year’s E3 for a big reveal. And many fans believe that this reveal will in fact be the Avengers Project. I’m still a little reserved on what to believe but if I were to take a guess it would be that we’ll be getting an update to FF7 Remake. That seems like the most likely candidate now that Kingdom Hearts 3 is pretty much wrapped up. FF7 Remake was revealed a couple years prior to the Avengers Project so I can imagine that’s had more time put into it’s development. And since Square has sort of taken on a different marketing strategy as opposed to just showing various trailers before giving an actual release date. They’ve kinda calmed down on giving updates for games. Because if you remember a couple years back rumors started swirling around that Tetsuya Nomura wanted to show off some new footage. But Square didn’t wanna release anymore trailers, instead opting to focus on projects that were close to completion. And this marketing strategy might be the case for the Avengers Project. Like I can imagine that Square doesn’t wanna show anything until they have a firm grasp on the concept they’re going for and when the deadline will be for the release. Because we’ve seen when they constantly shell out trailer it has a negative effect on a game’s sales. Another possible reason why updates for the Avengers Project & FF7 Remake have been on ice is because Square is probably waiting to for a new next generation console.
