Transformers new movie 2022. But anyways guys as I was saying its been quite a while since I brought you guys any Transformers movie new. The last time we talked about this there were apparently 3 movies in the works. Deadline a website that’s usually right on the money reported that Paramount Animation and Hasbro’s eOne studio had hired Toy Story 4’s director Josh Cooley to direct a big-scale Transformers theatrical prequel. And they brought on Ant-Man and the Wasp screenwriters to pen the script. The film would explore the origins of the Autobots and Decepticons on the planet Cybertron, specifically revolving around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron. As for the other 2 films there have been murmerings that 1 will be a continuation to Bumblebee and the other will be a Beast Wars spin-off. But that was pretty much it. Like we weren’t sure if Hasbro and Paramount were even go through with this because they’ve been so vague with these details. They have yet to confirm if these Transformers films will be set in the same continuity. And they still haven’t stated if the Bayverse universe is still a thing. Hell I’m still getting comments mentioning the so-called Rise of Unicron movie which I just wanna say I refuse to acknowledge until its officially been confirmed. But I digress. But yeah its been pretty much radio silent in regards to the movies. That’s until Hasbro pretty much confirmed that we’ll indeed be getting a film in 2022. A couple days ago they held a panel at Festival Of Licensing where they laid out a road map of eveything they have planned for 2021 and beyond. These details come courtesy of the awesome people over at TFW2005 who had the pleasure of being in attendance. So shouts out to them. They mention that the event started off with a spectacular montage of major Hasbro properties and eOne properties. G.I. Joe, Transformers, Power Rangers, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig, and Ricky Zoom was highlighted.
