I love power-ups. There’s just something invigorating about seeing your favorite heroes turn the tides in battle by gaining a huge amount of strength in the most obsurd ways possible. Whether it be via transformation, morphs, or combinations. You can’t deny that these particular elements are numbing in their inventiveness. And whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is totally up to you. Today’s video is gonna be dedicated to my number 1 favorite Transformers. He’s the face that recks the place. The robot who’s built to last in terms of continuity. Mr. Robo Jesus himself, Optimus Prime. But this isn’t just gonna be a video talking about simple statistic of the red & blue heavy hitter. This particular video will consist of my top 7 Super Modes and Combinations of Optimus Prime. This list will go indept on what each power-up has to offer for the Big Bot but each mode won’t be ranked by it’s power level. But in terms of combinations my rankings will be based on how well Optimus fairs with his participating host. Now these are just my personal biased rankings on which 1’s I love the most, so please refrain from pulling out those pitch forks. We all have our personal faves so there’s no need to spill any blood or in Transformers slang, no need to spill any energon in the comments section. With that said let’s get on with the video.

Number 1: “Optimus Maximus” Transformers Combiner Wars. Now you know I had to show my G1 Optimus Prime some love and what better way to so then with the IDW Generation 1 Continuity. After Cybertron is left desolate from the Destructive nature of the Combiners, a war wages over an ancient artifact known as the Enigma of Combination. This thing caused a big divide between Autobot and Decepticon factions, which made for some deep moments. And the fact that Hasbro actually allowed IDW to bring in a darker tone really shows that they’re not afraid to give a more mature product to the older fans. The only drawback this comic series has is it’s strong political undertones, and you probably won’t like how certain iconic Decepticons now work with Autobots to maintain peace. I still can’t wrap my mind how Starscream of all people could ever become King of Cybertron. But anyways the Enigma of Combination holds has to power to create Combiners from any Cybertronian. It allows them to unify their minds, and enhance their power and mental stability. It’s even capable of enhancing pre-existing Combiners who’re dumb ass rocks. After a fourway battle between Menasor, Devestator, Defensor, and Superion takes place. Prowl takes it upon himself to use the Enigma and combines with Optimus, Mirage, Ironhide, and Sunstreaker. Making them 1 in the form of Optimus Maximus. This is the most powerful power-up on the list. Optimus Maximus possesses all the unique traits of each individual Autobot. He has the courage of Optimus Prime, the strategic genius of Prowl, Mirage’s cloaking powers, and I guess Sunstreaker’s good looks. But with that said this Combination does have issues.
