transformers rise of the beasts. But yeah guys it feels great to be back covering this newly introduced Transformers Cinematic Universe Hasbro and Paramount are trying to established. Its said to be the first installment of a new live action trilogy and based on the overall reception of the teaser it looks like fans can’t wait to see where it takes us. If you’re not familiar with the Beasts Wars series it essentially serves as the 3rd generation of Transformers. That’s right I’m calling it G3. Because we already had a G2 era that didn’t quite move the needle, let alone push the franchise to new heights. But Transformers Beast Wars did that and then some. Like if you grew up as a 90s kids this series was more than likely your introduction to the Transformers franchises. You probably thought Optimus Primal was the original Optimus before the story revealed that he was the descendant of the red and blue Robo Jesus. On the other hand if you grew up in the 80s as a G1er you probably abhored the concept of robots becoming animals. 1 of the biggest criticisms going against BW that seems to be universal even amongst its fans is the poorly dated CGI. There was just something about traditional 2D that worked for G1 fans. Even though Beast Wars was the first Transformers property to use the 3D formula the technology just wasn’t quite there yet. But fast forward almost 30 years later and CGI has become the end all be all way to bring the Cybertronians to life on the Big Screen. Wheter its in a more cartoony fashion or a realistic setting.
