The year 2022 saw an entire landscape of fantastic games on consoles, PC, and streaming services. It was most definitely one of the better years in recent history. Another area of the gaming community that also had some extremely good games too, but is often left out of the hype is that of the mobile games variety. So, if you’re a mobile gamer like a lot of us, then we’ve picked our top 7 of the best mobile games of 2022. Let’s dive right in!
Starting out our list is a fantastic example of a mobile game done right but with the trappings of a typical mobile experience. Marvel Snap is an addictive and rewarding title that players have gotten on board with nearly instantaneous at the time of its release. It’s also just a gorgeous game too.
If you’re a die-hard fan of Apex Legends, then you should be happy to know that the mobile version is an impeccable title to take with you on the go. It really is a fun time to be had and looks fantastic on mobile devices. This is definitely the best battle royale game on the mobile market currently.
If you were part of the Vampire Survivors craze this past Summer and Fall, then you should already be well aware that Vampire Survivors has finally flapped its way onto mobile devices by way of 2022’s The Game Awards night. It’s a fun title that doesn’t overstay its welcome and looks retro and nostalgically great.
Though it wasn’t the original Diablo announcement that fans were wanting a year or so ago, Diablo Immortal has proven that it can be a great game to take with you on the go, especially if you have the willpower to ignore the siren song of its addictive microtransactions.
A Shovel Knight game that’s also a roguelite? Sign us up! Though you can only play Shovel Knight Dig through Apple Arcade on mobile devices, it’s still a glorious game that iOS users can now take absolutely anywhere. This is a roguelite that doesn’t get as much love as it deserves.
A newcomer to the endless-running sub-genre, Ninja Must Die is actually a pretty complex game with various styles of gameplay moments on display. It really isn’t a title that should be written off as another Subway Surfer or Jetpack Joyride.
Netflix has really brought the heat in 2022 by releasing some heavy-hitting games on mobile devices for its loyal subscribers. Games like Twelve Minutes, Spiritfarer, and Oxenfree have made the cut, but it’s the nominee for many of 2022’s game of the year awards, Immortality, who takes the cake. Being able to play this highly-acclaimed game on a mobile device is unreal.
Well, those are all of our picks for the top 7 best mobile games of 2022! Be sure to check out some of our other lists for 2022, like “Top 10 Best Battle Royale Games of 2022”. And feel free to follow Gamer Journalist on Facebook for updates on our newest content!
