6ix9ine’s sexual misconduct case has officially been closed. According to TMZ, a New York judge has dismissed the case against the rapper, revoking the four-year probation and 1,000 hours of community service he was sentenced to in October. 6ix9ine has been credited with time served.

Speaking with the celebrity news site, Tekashi’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro explained that the sexual misconduct case against Tekashi was closed because the rapper has already been booked on federal racketeering and firearms charges. Now that Tekashi is in the hands of the feds, the state government can’t enforce probation or facilitate community service.
Lazzaro made it clear he expects Tekashi to be cleared of the charges.

Tekashi 6ix9nine’s lawyer Says”I believe that the charges against him is an over-charge by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and that when the facts come out I am confident that the charges will be dismissed as it relates to Daniel Hernandez Tekashi 6ix9ine,” Lazzaro said at the time.

6ix9ine faces 32 years to life in prison, and the trial for his federal charges is all set to begin on Sept. 4, 2019.
