Houston legend J Prince had posted an interesting message after news broke of Megan Thee Stallion’s new management deal with Roc Nation. J Prince shared a photo with former MLB player and current 1501 Certified Ent. CEO Carl Crawford. Crawford, whose label Megan records under said of the signing on IG: “Congrats to #theestallion for signing with #rocnation Blogs don’t understand what’s going on but we know u #DownbyLawThat’s Texas slag for u outta towners.”
J Prince’s post, on the other hand, seemed to carry a deeper message as he wrote:
“The music business is a business filled with sharks and cut throat people. So Congratulations to the homie Carl Crawford owner of 1501 Records 1501_certified_ent for breaking your first artist Megan Thee Stallion theestallion . Carl is from my hood, better known as 5th Ward and I’m proud to be his new partner moving forward. Surprise to all that had plans on taking something from him, good luck with that.
