Dragon Ball Z : Battle of Gods New Super Saiyan God Transformation “Discussion”
The new Super Saiyan God Mode transformation for Goku, will it be better than SSJ4? Well folks its pretty much out now, so there’s no need to elaborate on the newly found ability of Goku being the super saiyan God or Super Saiyan Dios of the Dragon Ball Z universe. Goku goes up against the God of Destruction in an all out battle royale to determine the fate of humanity. I was really skeptical about Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods because we hadn’t had a DBZ movie in a long time and judging from the latest movies before this 1 even came into play my hunger for more epic saiyan action had been diminished hence the specials being Episode of Bardock and Yo Son Goku and Friends Return. Like Toei announced, the film had featured things that we had never seen in the show or movies in the franchise. Fully revamped animation that revitalized the characters such as Goku and Vegeta and breathed new life into familiar faces like Bulma and Krillin who had fresh new designs courtesy of Akira Toriyama himself. The film felt like a childhood playground where I could reflect on the most memorable and fun moments I experienced as a youth. The characters in Battle of Gods felt like they had grown after the Buu Saga but still had the same captivating personalities.
The story takes place in the eyes of the Kai’s King Kai or Kaiosama and his young protégé Kobito Shin. They both have an envision that a new destructive evil has surfaced and that the universe may be in grave danger. From there we get a serious tone that then transitions into a more light hearted one, and we see that not much has change. Goku is still training and he manages to push King Kai’s nerves. Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods cost over $600,000 to make and the production was really high. Most of the news surfaced and could be heard over mountains. Uploaders as well as viewers came up with their own expectations and rumors started to fly leading to misleading videos. Most of the big time fans of DBZ added their two cents, leading to good discussion on Super Saiyan God Mode Goku and Bills the God of Destruction. Most expectations were met in terms of the animation and the story of Battle of Gods but there was a big disappointment in the mist of all the success. And that disappointment was the outward appearance of the highly anticipated Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan Dios Son Goku transformation. The 1st time I saw a leaked shot of Super Saiyan Goku I was a bit thrown off, “is this someone trolling me or is this real?” The colors basically look like that of season 1’s Goku in standard attire mixed in with Kaioken . Now I myself was expecting super saiyan god to look drastically different, with stylish new hair and different eyes.
Dragon Ball Z and all it’s characters and names are owned by TOEI and created by Akira Toriyama.
